Sherwell Valley Primary School is a school catering for children aged 3 to 11 years, serving Upper Cockington, Sherwell Valley, Chelston and Queensway. The school was formed in 1974 by the amalgamation of the Infant and Junior schools on the site. The premises were built in 1955 and 1962, and occupy a spacious, south-facing site, enjoying extensive views down Sherwell Valley.
